St. Mary's is a parish of the Anglican Diocese of Huron, within the Anglican Church of Canada. As a Christian church, our beliefs and doctrine are based in the Holy Bible and the Nicene and Apostles Creeds. As Anglicans, we conform to the doctrine, discipline, and worship outlined in the Book of Common Prayer (1962) and its supplement, the Book of Alternative Services (1985).
The Holy Eucharist (also called Communion), the Church's highest offering of praise and thanksgiving, is the central focus of our worship. Any person who has been baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit may receive the Eucharist. Our priest is always glad to give a blessing to the unbaptized or to baptized children who are not yet ready to consume the bread independently.
St. Mary's is a diverse community where people of all walks of life and perspectives may find community and connection with God and with others. All people, regardless of culture, ethnicity, prior religious experience, and sexual orientation, are invited to participate in worship and in the sacraments.
