Sunday school is offered from September to June for school-aged children (6 to 13) during the 10am service. Our Sunday school programming follows the rhythms of the Church year, with lessons and activities that correlate to the readings of the main service. Sunday school is dismissed after the first hymn and returns for the Eucharist.
Children 8 and up who demonstrate an interest in the liturgy are welcome to inquire about joining the Server's Guild. Servers assist Mother Allie in the liturgy with various tasks. Serving is an excellent way for kids to learn about and engage with faith in a practical way.
Any baptized child may receive Communion at the discretion of their parents/guardians. First Communion preparation is offered from time to time, for families who desire their children to receive extra instruction about the Holy Eucharist, but not a requirement.
The bathroom nearest to the side door of the church contains a change table for babies and toddlers. We are not currently equipped with nursery space, but parents should know that fussy babies and wandering toddlers are unconditionally welcome.
